Macrologic attends Cyberoam ASEAN Summit 2011 in Singapore

Cyberoam, a division of Elitecore Technologies, a vendor of identity-based network security products (including UTM security, logging and reporting and secure remote connectivity appliances and data loss prevention software) conducted the 2011 Cyberoam ASEAN Summit in Singapore last September 08-11, 2011.

Macrologic, together with a few other selected companies, was invited to this event. The event was attended by representatives from different ASEAN Countries. MCSS was represented by Mr. Armand Menta – Managing Director together with Mr. Anton Garcia – Business Development Manager.

Macrologic started offering Cyberoam-UTM products only from March of this year, 2011. Macrologic’s participation in the 2011 Cyberoam ASEAN Summit only shows its industry commitment and focus on the network security, providing more value to customers and solutions to their problems arising from internet access.

The event was full of fun and learning; product updates, team building and sumptuous food over lunch and dinner on the finest bar and restaurant in the city such as the Altitude and Sentosa Resort and Hotel. Among those product updates given were the NetGenie, CCC (Cyberoam Central Console) and the upcoming launch on mid October of the 2 licenses; Outbound Spam and Web Application Firewall.

Cyberoam’s NetGenie offers great security against viruses, intruders, hackers, harmful internet content and more to Home and Small Offices, Home Offices (SOHO) when surfing online. NetGenie comes with pre-set Wi-Fi security settings that prevent Wi-Fi network at home and SOHO from becoming an open hotspot that can be misused by unauthorized outsiders. On the other hand, Cyberoam Central Console (CCC) appliances will provide a centralized security management across distributed Cyberoam UTM appliances. With the Layer 8 Identity-based policies and centralized reports and alerts, CCC appliances will provide granular security and visibility into remote and branch offices all over the globe.

And come late October 2011, Macrologic will conduct a technology update event for Cyberoam-UTM products in Cavite. It aims to educate clients about the advantage of Cyberoam Layer 8 Technology that allows control up to the end user level and identify internet transaction based on network domain access.
